Granite is a natural igneous stone with mineral patterning that varies from slab to slab. It offers a hard-wearing work surface, while its exact colour, movement and maintenance needs depend on the particular stone.

View a full slab for colours with strong movement or a distinctive mineral pattern. Natural variation is part of the material; a small sample is a guide, not a guarantee of an identical finished surface.
Granite is generally durable, but not every granite has the same porosity. Some stones benefit from sealing and no natural stone should be treated as completely stain-proof or immune to heat damage.
Choose a finish with use in mind. Polished stone is usually straightforward to wipe clean, while honed or textured finishes can show marks differently and may need more attentive daily care.

Use a soft cloth and mild, pH-neutral cleaner. Wipe spills promptly and use trivets and chopping boards. Ask about sealing and care for the exact granite selected.
