Artscut Quartz
Inspired by natural stone, Artscut Quartz is an engineered surface composed of approximately 93% natural quartz and 7% resin and pigments. The result is a surface that captures the elegance of real stone but with enhanced performance and reliability.
As a non‑porous, engineered material, Artscut Quartz offers:
- High resistance to stains, moisture and bacterial growth — ideal for direct food contact and hygienic kitchen use.
- Great durability: resistance to chips, everyday wear and tear, making it a long-lasting investment for your home.
With these properties, Artscut Quartz brings together practicality and elegance — a smart, sustainable choice for busy kitchens that need both beauty and hard-wearing functionality.

Benefits of Artscut Quartz
- Durability & Longevity: Quartz is extremely tough, with high resistance to chips, cracks and general wear over time. It withstands the demands of daily kitchen use far better than many softer natural stones.
- Low Maintenance: Thanks to its non‑porous nature, there’s no need for sealing or special treatments. A simple wipe‑down with warm water and mild soap is usually all that’s needed.
- Stain‑ and Spill‑Resistant: Because it doesn’t absorb liquids, quartz resists staining from common kitchen spills (oil, coffee, wine, juice, etc.), and doesn’t harbor bacteria or mildew.
- Design Flexibility: Quartz can be manufactured in a wide range of colours, patterns and finishes, offering consistency and uniformity that many natural stones don’t — perfect if you want a clean, consistent look.
How to Care for Your Artscut Quartz Worktops
With minimal effort, you can keep Artscut Quartz worktops looking new for many years. Here are recommended daily‑use guidelines and things to avoid:
Recommended Care
- Use a soft cloth or microfibre cloth with warm water and a little mild detergent for everyday cleaning.
- For spills — especially coffee, wine, oil, juices or other liquids — wipe them up as soon as possible to prevent any risk of residue or marking.
- For dried-on spills or stubborn marks, moisten with warm soapy water and gently clean; avoid aggressive scrubbing.
- Always dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning to avoid water spots and maintain the worktop’s shine.
What to Avoid
- Abrasive cleaners or scouring pads: steel wool, hard scourers or aggressive scrubbers may scratch or dull the surface.
- Harsh chemical cleaners: avoid bleach, oven cleaners, concentrated acids or alkalis, nail‑polish remover, solvents, or very strong detergents. These can degrade the resin and damage the quartz.
- Cutting directly on the surface: quartz is scratch-resistant but not scratch-proof. Always use a cutting board to protect the worktop from knife marks.
- Placing hot pans or dishes directly: avoid heat damage by always using a trivet or heat pad under hot cookware or dishes. Sudden temperature changes can lead to cracking or discolouration over time.
- Assuming it needs sealing: unlike natural stone, quartz does not require sealing or special periodic treatment.
