Quartz Worktops
Engineered quartz offers a consistent, non-porous surface in a broad choice of colours and stone-inspired patterns. It is made from mineral aggregates and resin, so it behaves differently from natural stone and from porcelain.
Choosing this surface
Compare the full slab, not just a small sample, when the design has prominent veining or movement. Pattern repeat, slab size and the position of joins affect how an island and adjoining runs read together.
Quartz is a practical everyday surface, but it is not heatproof. Use trivets for hot pans and follow the care guidance for the specific range. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive pads unless the product maker explicitly allows them.
The colour, finish, edge detail and layout all matter. The available engineered ranges include Silestone and Caesarstone, alongside other materials and suppliers. Browse the listed colours and discuss alternatives with our team rather than assuming one brand represents every quartz option.
What shapes a quotation
Every layout is different, so we quote to your measurements and specification rather than publish a generic price per metre. The main factors include:
- Overall length, depth and number of pieces
- Slab selection and how much material the layout requires
- Thickness, edge profile, cut-outs, drainage grooves and upstands
- Access, templating, delivery and installation requirements
Care and everyday use
For daily cleaning, use a soft cloth with mild detergent and water, then dry the surface. Keep hot cookware off the worktop. Manufacturer care instructions take precedence and can vary by product and finish.
